BUDGET OVERVIEW

The budget for Phase 1 reflects the hybrid nature of AERONAUTICA — combining artistic production, object construction, location work, and exhibition preparation within a single process. Resources are concentrated on the elements that allow the images to be realised physically rather than simulated.

The requested support is €60,000, enabling the realisation of six photographic works and their premiere presentation in Palma. This level represents the minimum framework required to construct vessels, coordinate locations, assemble collaborators, and complete post-production and print preparation at exhibition scale.

Costs are distributed across several core areas:

Object Construction

Adaptation of traditional vessels, fabrication of wing structures, workshop time, and preparation for transport and positioning.

Locations and Logistics

Site access, permits where required, transport of objects and equipment, and coordination across multiple environments on the island.

Production and Collaboration

Crew support, technical assistance, casting coordination, costume elements, and collaboration with local craftspeople and performers.

Exhibition Realisation

Preparation of installation materials, transport, and integration of the photographic works and physical vessel within the premiere presentation.

Existing partnerships — including camera support through 711 and local production networks — reduce equipment costs and allow resources to focus on material production.

The budget is designed to establish a viable first chapter while creating assets, objects, and workflows that support the continuation of the series beyond Phase 1.
